I have just bought a retail copy of TI, which after both log-on, or program launch, continually accesses floppy drive A:\ until I insert a disk for it to read, or disable the floppy disk drive in DevMan. Is there a cure for this? I was sold TI 11 which I see is not the current version, although not actually a problem as running XPsp3. I get the impression that although a new purchase, Acronis support is only via this forum, so help! Please! Thanks in anticipation.

The first thing to check is that you're using the latest build (8,101). If not, updating to it may help. This problem was reported on at least one build of TI 11.

Yes, Mudcrab, same problem with last 8101 build; I did find the previously reported XPsp3 problem, but no solution was posted, so I thought I'd try again.
