True Image Home 11 hangs at backup

Thread needs solution

When I am backing up some folders and files the backup is always hanging at the same size of backup.
Using build 8105 on Windows 7 Professional SP1
True Image is running as local Admin and I have no domain.
Files have "Full access" for Admin.

You are using ATI v11, which precedes ATI 2009, itself preceding 2010. 2010 is the first version that supports Windows 7.

I was about to install ATI V11 on my Windows 7 system, which I upated from Windows XP some time ago. I bought ATI V11 in 2008 and used on my XP system. Now that I'm on windows 7, do I need to update? Since I don't have ATI on my windows 7 system, do I need to start over and buy ATI 2012, or is there a way to upgrade form V11 to 2012?

Yes you need to upgrade to the latest TI version 2012. You can go to your account at www.acronis.com and do oi there if you choose.

David,
You only need to buy the 2012 upgrade, not the full version. During the install Acronis True Image 2012 will ask your your previous (v11) serial number as well as your new 2012 serial number. You do not need or want to install the older version first. If you have made backup files with v11, you should be able to use those to restore from if needed. Be sure to check out the many guides posted here on the forums for tips on using your new version, as it is much different than v11.
