True Image Home 2010 Error Message

Thread needs solution

I have upgraded to Win 7 and have used True image Home 2009 to successfully make Backups.

I have now installed True image Home 2010. When attempting to Backup everything is normal up to the last step and pressing "Proceed. I then get an error message reading:

"Failed to create the scheduled Task. Error #1722. The RPC Server is unavailable (0xFF0)"

Hello William,

I understand your question and will do my best to give you clear explanation.

First of all please make sure that you are using the latest build of the program. Check it in Help -> About. You can always download the latest build of the program from your account under Registered Products.

If the issue persists please make sure that Acronis Scheduler2 Service is Started and the Startup type is set to Automatic:

    • Click Start -> Run and type in services.msc;
    • In the Services window locate Acronis Scheduler2 Service;
    • Right-click on the service and select Properties in the pop-up menu;
    • In the invoked window set the Startup type to Automatic. Click OK;
    • Right-click on the service again and select Start in the pop-up menu.

If this does not help, please download Acronis Scheduler, which is a special utility to update the scheduler service, extract it and run install.bat. The utility will automatically update the service.

Should the issue persist after trying all or any of the two solutions, please contact Acronis Customer Central with request for support.

Let us know the results.

I purchased ATI 2010 early December in anticipation of upgrading to Windows 7. It worked in Vista. Previously I have used ATI Home for the past 2 years, starting with version 10, then version 11 in Vista. No problems like this one--error 1722. Need I say more? Since upgrading from Vista Home Premium 32 bit to Windows 7 64 Bit on Dec 24, I have been unable to start my backup without getting the same message. I have tried ALL the suggestions numerous times without success. I can only conclude that this may have something to do with changing from Vista 32 bit to Win7 64 bit, but this is only a guess. I am at wits end. I feel a bit rooked that there is no free support. Any comments?
