True Image Settings

Thread needs solution

I am setting up a file and folder backup for settings for various applications. I back up my True Image settings in this folder as well. When I run the backup, I would like to first, backup my True Image settings as a pre backup task. Could I get some idea of how to do this? The scenario I'd like is:

-initiate the backup
-True Image settings get backed up to my configuration settings folder as a pre-backup task
-the configuration settings folder gets backed up

Any help would be much appreciated.

You could run a batch file as a pre-task and have it jsut copy the settings file. The user guide explains how to set up pre-tasks.

Thanks Scott. I should probably look, but where do I find the settings file? Program Data? User\App Data? Thanks again.

Teh backup settings for various programs may be stored in any of a variety of places depending on the program -- this includes the Registry, which, unfortuantely is intensely self-referential (this is the case with TrueImage). This is why, when dealing with programs, it's best to bckup up the the whole partition/hdisk rather than trying to pick and choose pieces.
