True Images 2012 Crashes XP and I can't boot in any xp modes

Thread needs solution

Has anyone ever heard of this. I install True image 2012 after removing uninstalling 2010 and used the 2012 clean utility went in to regedit removed Snapman*, fltsrv, tdrpman*, vidsflt* and timounter. I have also booted into safe mode and also went into msconfig and did a clean boot.

All resulted in crashes and having to restore from a rescue CD. 2 Day Night Mare

Welcome Evan,

If occurring on reboot, something missed has likely been left behind. It does sound though that you have been thorough in your efforts thus far.

It occurs while installing the screen turns blue and then the system does a reboot but can't get into any modes of windows xp. Version 10 works well no issues. 2012 seems to be giving a lot of people problems.

Hello Evan,
A couple of suggestions. You can disable automatic restart on system stop or crash. There is a check box in the Start Up & Recovery option found under Computer Properties > Advanced > Start Up and Recovery (button). Deselecting this option will allow the BSODS to display until you restart the system using reset or pwr off. Having the STOP error might be helpful.

Your System Event Viewer, either the System and/or Application log may yield further information about the issue(s).

You can also try to run and capture an Acronis System Report. It can be run from within the program. If this is not possible, a downloadable version is also available. Search for Acronis Info utility and System Report in the KB.

Maybe this will help.
