TrueImage 10 not able to see HDD, with boot CD

Thread needs solution

I have a new ASUS N61 i7 laptop. I have earlier created a bootCD in a Core 2 Samsung laptop. Right now my ASUS screwed up and I tried to use the BootCD but it cannot read the HDD or partition. What can I do?

Hello Heng Siew Han,

Let me assist you.

It seems that the bootable CD haven't correct drivers for your hardware, since it's a very old version of the software and your laptop is new. However, there's a workaround that might help you:

1. Please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc and press F11 key when the selection screen advising you to select either "Full", "Safe" or "Boot into Windows" option appears.

2. After you get the "Linux kernel command line" prompt, please modify it in the following way:

quiet acpi=off noapic

3. Click on the OK button then and choose "Full Version"

If the above solution won't work for you, I may suggest you to download and install the trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2010, create a new bootable media and try it. The functional limitation of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home trial version is that you can only restore and validate an image when you run the program from the bootable media. Windows version is functional for 15 days only and it does not have any more limitations.

If the new version of the software works, you can purchase an upgrade in our online store.

Thank you.
