TrueImage.exe occupies one full CPU (doing nothing)
Starting True Image after a Win 7 restart resulted in one CPU (of four) to be fully dedicated to ATI (once in a while TIMonitor would share the CPU).
The Process Explorer indicates: Path : [Error opening process]. (The TIMonitor gives the path correctly).
{I had the same problem on another PC with ATI 2012, but going back to a previous level "solved" the problem (there is no previous level for ATI 2013)}.
The daily backups appear to be performed correctly, but starting and killing ATI (exit is insufficient: Process Explorer is needed to Kill the process) for inspection or other functions is a nuisance.
Please indicate a way forward.

That appears to be working, however I would not like to do it on a weekly basis.
When I tried some options in the old environment Windows stepped in looking for a solution (as so often...).
Thanks, Raffia

I used TrueImage to format a new 2 TB HDD. I setup continuous backup but it took up so much processor time (on a Intel I7) that I killed it an erased the backup. I have a daily backup on another disk. That seems to be OK. Whenever I set a second backup on the 2 TB HDD TrueImage takes up 13% of my processor, even when I close the program. This second backup was a disk backup but I haven't scheduled any regular backups. I can stop the process (TrueImage.exe *32) in task manager, but it all seems a bit weird. Anybody know what is going on?

Hello TimAitch,
welcome to Acronis Forum!
I will be happy to help you.
TrueImage.exe is a process that is responsible for program user interface.
After closing of console, this process should normally disappear from task manager list. If it doesn't, please check if you are using the latest build 6514 of True Image 2013 by Acornis, execute installation file 6514 and start repair installation.
Let me know if this resolves the issue.
Should the issue persist or you need additional assistance, feel free to contact me.
Thank you.

Hi Ms. Trifonova,
Thanks for the help. Getting the latest builds seems to have cured the problem(NOT), although the second time I started True Image it went back to its old ways. I can tell when it is going to cause a problem, because normally True Image uses about 4% of the processor when it isn't doing anything (but is running); however the times it continues to run after it is closed, it jumps up to a steady 10% to 12%, even before it is closed.
**** I just checked it again and it is now consistently misbehaving in that it continues to run after I stop the program. *****
I checked the checksums on the download. The program also seem to have trouble listing my latest backups. It often doesn't show the last one, although when I check in the directory the backup is there.

TimAitch,
I noticed from your screengrab you have a Nortons' product installed. I wonder if Nortons could be interfering with something?
