trying to uninstall v. 2014

Thread needs solution

I have both v. 2012 and the update to 2014. The latter was applied, but has failed to work properly, failing backps totally or failing to shit down the computer. I would like to completely delete v. 2014 and reinstall v. 2012, which had worked well. But after uninstalling v. 2014 and trying to install v. 2012, an error states that it cannot install as a newer version (v. 2014) is present. I tried a registry cleaner, and deleting registry refs to acronis manually, but they persist. How can I completely get rid of v. 2014 so that v. 2012 will install? thanks for any help

The easiest would probably be to restore one of your 2012 backups and put your system back to that time.

Or, you can use the Ti Cleanup utility but be sure to read and follow its instructions. Refer my signature link 5 below.
Afferwards, you could re-install either 2012 or 2014.

For some users, a clean install rather than an upgrade works better. You could retry 2014 but it is definitely different than 2012.
