UAC in Windows 7

Thread needs solution

Is there a way to run Acronis True Image without being prompted for by UAC for admin credentials? I don't mind having to enter them but when I do the program suddenly defaults to wanting to backup up the admin user. I don't use it for anything so there really isn't anything to backup. I find it really annoying to have to uncheck my admin users folders before selecting the correct folders.

Another side effect is it launches IE whenever it needs to launch a browser. I assume it does so because it is the default browser of the admin account.

Again I don't mind the prompt, I just wish ATIH could be more intelligent about who is actually the person logged in and running the program after the admin credential have been given.

'Fraid not. At least no way that I've encountered. It would be a difficult proposition to say the least as the TIH program really has no way of knowing in advance that your post-startup functional choices will require anything less than admin-level full system read-write access. You'd probably be more unhappy if its default execution did not request and provide the maximum privileges that it might need. Even so, it sometimes seems to encounter a few access issues with locked files, including some individual user files.

It is possible, however, to modify Windows UAC configuration itself. See http://www.neowin.net/news/main/09/01/07/windows-7-whats-up-with-the-uac

@LoneMystic - Quite agree with your comments its been said before but falls on deaf ears at Acronis - ATIH needs to be user centric when backing up files. I can understand the need for Admin accounts when doing partitions or disks.
