Unable to access user profile folders when mounting backup image

Thread needs solution

Hi all-
I discovered the Image Mounting tools in TI Home 2013 and hope it would allow me to get to some documents backed up in an image on an external disk I use for backups of all types. However, once mounted, I could not access any of my profile folders (My Docs/Pics/etc.), with Windows telling my I have been denied permission for that folder, and I must change permissions. Once in the dialog for permissions, I get lost pretty quickly. As far as I can tell, I have full permission to the drive as admin, but none of the settings can be changed; all check boxes are greyed out. If anyone can lend a hand with this, I'd be most grateful, as there are files I need and do not want to restore this image to a hard disk (which, I suspect, would only result in the same message). Many thanks.

For some strange reason your profile folder in the mounted image is not giving the SSID that your actual or the rest of the mounted image have.

All you need to do to get around this problem is to add your current user permissions to the folder or you could try just Exploring the image which will allow you to drag a file from there.

To add you mounted user SSID to your current user SSID right click on the image profile folder, select Properties then select Security. Now click on the Advanced button, add your user name to the box, click on check Names if you want to check you've entered it properly and make sure that propagate tick box is checked, click OK and after a short period you should be able to access the folder.
