Unable to boot after recovery

Thread needs solution

I purchased True Image 2013 with the Universal Restore add-on so that I could keep all of my data even though I have dissimilar hardware (went from a Gigabyte x58a-ud3r motherboard with i7-930 processor to Gigabyte ga-z87x-ud5h motherboard with i7-4770k processor). I had backed up my primary drive which is my C drive using True Image and then attempted to use the boot media to recover my data after I had finished installing the new hardware. This is where problems began.

The recovery process started out well but as it finished it displayed several errors and yet still said that the recovery was successful. Here are the errors that were given to me:

Device driver 'pci\ven_1b4b&dev_9230&subsys_b0001458&rev_10' for 'Windows 7' cannot be found. Place the driver on a removable media and click Retry.
Device driver 'pci\ven_8086&dev_8c02&subsys_b0051458&rev_04' for 'Windows 7' cannot be found. Place the driver on a removable media and click Retry.
Device driver 'pci\ven_8086&dev_8c26&subsys_50061458&rev_04' for 'Windows 7' cannot be found. Place the driver on a removable media and click Retry.
Device driver 'pci\ven_8086&dev_8c2d&subsys_50061458&rev_04' for 'Windows 7' cannot be found. Place the driver on a removable media and click Retry.
Device driver 'pci\ven_8086&dev_8c31&subsys_50071458&rev_04' for 'Windows 7' cannot be found. Place the driver on a removable media and click Retry.

After the final message it reported that the “recover operation succeeded”. After restarting my PC I am still receiving a quick flash of the blue screen error message before it restarts itself in a loop. I am not sure on how to proceed and if these errors are the reason as to why I am still unable to boot even though I have apparently recovered my C drive with windows 7 on it. Thanks for any assistance that can be given.

Is your system a RAID system?

You are missing a Marvel RAID Sata driver, you need to find the driver in CAT or INF format and place that on a USB stick and when UR asks for other drivers, you need to browse to that driver.

Appreciate the response. My system is not a RAID system. This is probably a silly question but are these drivers you are referring to the Gigabyte x58a-ud3r drivers or do I need the drivers from the new motherboard? I'm assuming it's the former considering these errors came from a backup and recovery program. I'm under the impression that if I am actually supposed to be installing the ud3r drivers, I will be able to boot into windows and let it automatically download my new motherboard drivers.

On the manufacturers website for my ud3r motherboard under the Windows 7 64-bit section for driver downloads I saw a list of drivers that can be downloaded (the extensions are in .exe but I am familiar with how to extract them to get the cat/inf format). I used a second computer that had the exact same hardware setup that my PC had prior to the hardware upgrade and with it I was able to use the manufacturers auto detect tool and find the drivers that had been installed on that machine. I then downloaded the driver (did not download the audio driver however) and it was indeed a Marvell driver although there was no mention of it being a RAID driver. After placing it on a USB I used command prompt to install the drivers (did not use the recovery program to execute the driver installation as I kinda didn't like the notion of waiting for the restore process again only for it to perhaps fail if I had the wrong drivers) and while it did install some of the drivers it now says it was unable to install "mv91cons.inf", a boot-critical driver as it is an unsigned driver. I was given a prompt saying I could use the /forceunsigned command to install this driver but I figured I would stop there in case I made a serious mistake.

To sum up my current situation: I am not sure if I was supposed to install the ud3r drivers but I have proceeded with the driver installation. I am not sure if the unsigned driver is now something I need to install. I am also not sure if I should have used the second computer with Gigabytes auto detect tool as there was no installed driver that could be identified as a Marvel RAID driver. I feel like a lot of my problems at the moment could be solved if someone could tell me which driver/s I should have installed from this list originating from the manufacturer's ud3r motherboard website: http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3449#dl

1.Intel SATA Preinstall driver
(For AHCI / RAID Mode)
2.Intel® Rapid Storage Technology
3.GIGABYTE SATA2 Driver
4.GIGABYTE SATA2 Preinstall driver
(For AHCI / RAID Mode)
5.Marvell RAID Preinstall Driver (SATA3) for AHCI Mode
6.Marvell RAID Utility (SATA3)
7.Marvell RAID Driver (SATA3) for AHCI Mode
8.Marvell Console Driver (SATA3)

Again thanks so much for any responses that can be given, I know I'm over my head and I am probably over complicating my situation but I think I'm really close to getting my PC up and running with my new hardware so please continue to lend your support.
