unable to upgrade

I own several old versions of Acronis True Image Home product, last one being 2011. I have been told that I am eligible for an upgrade to True Image 2015. During the activation stage, it asks for an old serial number. I have the old style ones, 5 digits per group and a groups of 5, something like: ABCDE-12345-EFGHI-JKLMN-54321. When I cut-n-paste the old style number, it was treated as if it was a new style serial number. It was automatically regrouped into 8 characters group and separated by hyphens. The bottom line is that it does not recognize my legit old serial numbers. Thus fail to activate the application.

Also perhaps related, when I typed in code manually, it lost mouse focus after each key stroke. Had to click on the box again to regain focus.

Has anyone else encounter the same problem? Looks like a software bug to me. I am running 64-bit windows 8.1 OS.
