unbale to restore using true image v8
I am using acrnis true image ver 8. I got this reinstalled on 29-11-09. Earlier I got a backup on31-10-09.
Today I wanted to restore that windows image. When I tried to restore the image with the acronis disc created at the time of installing the true image, it doesnot show the partition. While I have 15 partitions in 3 drives, true image shows only 2 drives with 11 partitions. My partition windows (F) is not seen while it is recognised from the backup file hence I am not able to restore it.
Could you please guide me what could have gone wrong. I am attaching the snapshots of the windows disk manager and the snap shots taken at the time of restoration in a zip file. I tried to post the same earlier and it got stuck at the uploading of attachment. I am trying again.
Is there any restrictions on the no. of drives etc.

If TI 8 has a Safe Mode version, have you tried it?
Most likely, the Linux drivers in the Full Mode version are not correctly supporting the hardware. Were you able to see all the drives when booted to TI 8 CD prior to this restore attempt?

I have TI 8.0 PC is xppro on celeron2.8G with 1GRAM. I have a Sw RAID 1 array (SATA). I can load TI8, backup ok, view the backup OK. All is normal, but after a crash, I cannot boot using the TI8 emergency CD. It hangs at the screen 'Loading Acronis, please wait'. I have had similar problems witrh RAID and none RAID SATA drives when trying to load XPpro(early with no SP1). The machine freezes. If I load XPpro that is at SP1 level or higher there is no problem. I guess it is the same with TI8......It doesnt understand SATA properly at emergency boot time. I have to load XPpro, Then load ACronis (Not emergency disk). Then I run Acronis from within XPpro to restore the image. This works but is VERY time consuming, and defeats the object. Is there any work-around like new driver? And if so, how do I 'incorporate it' . If it were windows I would Slipstream it.
If there is no fix, what is the cheapest version of Acronic that will do this job?

See reply #3 above. Have you tried the Safe Mode version of TI 8 on the recovery CD?
Another possibility is to create a BartPE recovery environment with the driver for your RAID array and the TI 8 BartPE plugin.
