Uninstalled True Image WD Edition, now windows freezes on boot.
I'm fuming pissed right now. I used TrueImage WD Edition to migrate my main HDD's content over to my new SSD, and when I finally got everything set up, I went to uninstall TI WD Edition. At first, things seemed fine, but then even after a reboot, there were remnant device drivers that were not removed.
So, I found a cleanup utility, known as atih_cleanup_tool_s_e.exe. I ran it, accepted everything it asked, and now, my Windows will not fucking boot! It doesn't even BSOD, it just hangs. Safe Mode doesn't even work! It freezes after getting past CLASSPNP.SYS (and before anyone asks, it's not related to that sys file, I checked.)
I even tried using a recovery disk to remove the registry entries for the filters and whatnot, and it STILL will not boot! What the hell. I'm about to rip my hair out. I have no backups or images of the system, because I lack the space, and I had disabled Windows System restore because It's rumored to cause a lot of wear and tear on SSDs.
