Unsuccessful backup makes ATI agent stuck
My backups are set to be made onto my NAS machine via Windows network. Obviously my NAS is not always on and sometimes it's off when my laptop (and ATI) are working. This seems to cause problems...
When my NAS is off and ATI tries to make a backup it apparently can't and it displays a backup icon in the tray and its icon has a red circle with a cross suggesting there was a problem. That's fine for me - it's just a kinfd of an error message. BUT unfortunately there are two more kinds of problem:
1. When I turn my NAS on, ATI is unable to resume backup jobs by itself - it still tells me it cannot access the NAS which is not true. What I have to do is to cancel the current backup job(s) manually and then re-run them manually. Only then ATI successfully resumes making scheduled backups. If I don't do those manual actions, ATI will keep saying it cannot proceed and makes no more backups...
2. Even if I manually re-run the backup job(s), the notification icon suggesting backup error still resides in tray (selecting "Cancel" doesn't help) - it wouldn't be a problem itself, but (again but...) when this icon (and apparently some other process) is running, Windows won't close. It keeps saying there are operations in progress and have to wait for them to finish. The only working solution is killing all ATI processes via Task Manager - then Windows shuts down normally.
Is such behavior normal? Why can't ATI resume backups by itself?
Is there a way to actually cancel the backup error from the tray and at least let Windows shut down normally?
