Upgrade from TI 2009 to TI 2010

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I've bought Acronis TI 2009 about 1 week ago, and now I see that there's TI 2010 already available. Is there any possibility to let users update for free within a certain time frame from purchase of the previous version?

the time frame for Acronis is 30 days, poor show as far as I think but thats it

That'd be fair enough if that's Acronis' policy. Anyone from Acronis staff can comment on this? If it's indeed possible to upgrade within 1 month from purchase of the previous version, what do I need to do?

i don't think it is fair enough.

Raxco, Winzip, Regcure, PC Tools, Lavasoft to name a few will allow you to update to a new product with 12 months of purchase. What I object to is having a promotional email to ask me to buy a product in 2009 when they knew a new version i.e. 2010 would be available before the end of 2009. What will they do next, ask us all to buy TI 2100?

What you need to do is register your product on the Acronis site and keep an eye on it

Uli, I had the same issue with last version. They allowed me a free upgrade so you should get one too. I contacted them via live support for it, or you could e-mail support.

1. I'm a user of acronis trueimage from version 8, and WAS happy up to now

1. forum speed/response/access has been abysmal.  this is the first time I've been able to access it in 2 days

2. I just purchased trueimage 2009 upgrade, as the user above.  I would like to either get a free upgrade to T.I.2010, Or refund the T.I. 2009 if they don't give me an upgrade to 2010, and MAYBE later buy 2010.

BUT, I can't get the contact form to work (I click submit, but nothing happens).

there seems to be no other way to contact acronis;  the CHAT doesn't work for me either

HOW to contact acronis, regarding my account and purchase?

Neither the live chat nor the contact form work for me, too. Oh well.....  :-(

Is Acronis staff looking at the forum at all? I thought they moved from Wilders in order to give better support?

Wilders been around a long time. Guess Acronis wanted to save some money. Hope they learn  HOWTO

Acronis always offers cheap upgrades to the current version when they know the new version is about to be released. I fell for it once too. Never again.

i hope my offer will come thru soon then, but oliver your post is odd as in you fell for what?

I cannot contact them either.  I am kinda regretting moving from Norton Ghost to Acronis.  I really want to be able to Image my New Windows  Computer but Cannot get 2010 version with my key that I just now bought.  Frustrated.

I just chat with Customer support and explained my situation.  I have windows 7 and version 2009 will not work well on my computer.

After proof of purchase (and btw, I bought from ebay! 26.00) they tech gave me a FREE upgrade key =)

Acronis is awesome.

I advise any of you with this problem to do the same.
