Upgraded now nothing works

Thread needs solution

Hello:
If this forum is not the proper place for this - please forgive me - but due to the horrendous difficulty getting even to this place - I do not know where else to post.

I recently installed 2014 over 2010. I don't like the way it works. Now - on startup - it gives me a screen that wants me to watch a video - and then will let me do nothing else. 2014 worked several times previously without displaying this particular screen. I uninstalled 2014 and tried to re-install
2010. I was told that my serial numbers were incorrect. I entered them directly from the original start-up email. That failing-I did a re-install of 2014. After having the serial numbers resent. The re-install gives me the same screen. I can't get anything else. I tried to contact support only to have them declare that my support time had run out. I had purchased the product in December but was unable to install it until January.
ONE. I do not want to run 2014. I want to go back to 2010.
TWO. Why do my serial numbers for 2010 no longer work?
When I did the re-install of 2014 and clicked "Check for Updates" It asked for the 2010 as it declared I was upgrading from a previous version.
I can not begin to express how utterly frustrated I am at this point. Prior to 2010 I was a big fan of Acronis - now I am sorry I ever let then talk me into "Upgrading" and am mad at myself for having paid for the privilege

Alfred,
Log into your personal account on the Acronnis webpage (signature link 9 below) and examine carefully your listing of products which you have registred. The serials for 2010 will be there plus the files will be identified as upgrades or standard versions.
Perhaps 2010 was an upgrade and it is looking for the serial of a standard version prior to 2010

I woulld suggest you run the 2014 cleanup utility (signature link 4 below) and then do a fresh install of 2010.
Or, you can easily simply restore a prior 2010 backup.
