Use Universal Restore for Restoring to multiple computers with identical hardware?
I would like to clone my computer to a new computer. In theory the hardware is identical (same brand, model number, etc., etc.).
Is Universal Restore the best option for this? I am afraid I'll have to reinstall all the drivers, or go through a lot of work to prepare them, when probably the only thing needed is to make sure Acronis deletes any info that is specific to this particular computer.
I am using Acronis True Image 2015 for PC.
What's the best way to go about doing this? Thanks.

I haven't found proper way to do this.
Unlike previous versions Universal restore is a seperate Acronis version. Use the standard Acronis TI 2015 boot medium to clone your disk.
UR has become pretty much useless since you can clone quite any computer regardless the hardware as most consumer mainboards do use AHCI and this driver does not need to be replaced specificially. and you wont be trapped in a 0x7B BSOD. You can even enable AHCI support in Windows (XP-10) before you clone the Windows, if your current computer does not use AHCI yet.
If your current or future controller is using AHCI, you will probably never need UR. That's why probably Acronis bundled UR for free, as no one really needs it in common configurations.

No problem, you're welcome. Hopefully you are able to carry out your plans on cloning properly.
