Using True Image HD to clone DV7T-7200 to Vertex-4

I have my Vertex-4 in an USB enclosure and the program can see it when I click the Clone option on Ture Image I am running the program from Windows 8. My question is after I run the clone will I still be able to boot from my installed HD? I just got the Laptop on 12-25 so there is not much on it yet.
I wanted to run the system for a few days before I switch to the SSD.

So will I still be able to boot from my HD after the clone.
