Validate only after full backup

Thread needs solution

On a new computer I just built, with two SSD's in RAID 0 configuration, I need a more robust backup strategy than my previous which was just one backup/day with validation, and using Chain2Gen to start a new chain after five days.

I am considering doing hourly backups without validation (since it takes so long) during the day, with a complete backup and validation at night, then shutting down the computer.

Ideally I would want to do the complete backup/validation to start at 10PM, and subsequently start the incrementals.

However, how does one schedule this? I could easily schedule an incremental backup to start at 10PM, and clean out the archive location prior to that (using Chain2Gen, although I don't think I can schedule that for day AND time).

I could also use the facility within TIH2010 to start a new full backup after 10 or so incrementals, and not delete the previous archive. I would then have to keep track of the archive storage size manually, which is not particularly desireable.

But how do I set the validation to only occur after one of the backup tasks, instead of after every task?

If I schedule the validation to run as a separate task, how can I ensure that it does not start to run until after the backup task has completed?

Thank you for any suggestions.

I seem to have answered my own problem:
1. Set up an incremental backup with "New Archive" selected to run after 11:00 PM daily (any time after the last "hourly" backups are done"). Set this one to do a verification.
Acronis pre-processing task from Chain2Gen set to do a new file each time would cause new chains every day; or it could be set to trigger on particular days of the week.
2. Schedule a 2nd task that will "add to selected archive" to run during the day at some selected interval.

Question to be determined. In the 2nd task, does "end of day", which is the ending time for the backup, include midnight, or is that considered to be the next day. I will be experimenting to find out, but, for now, this seems like a workable solution.
