validation of backup failed with "cannot find version..." which was just created

Files and folders backup completed successfully then the validation failed with a "cannot find version 1" message. Browse and retry produced the same message, or did not work. Log indicates that TI cannot find the file it just created. Only operational option was cancel.

Subsequent examination of backup files indicated everything was okay. How aggravating.
