Various problems with ATI 2013 Trial

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I've just downloaded the trial version of True Image 2013 and I'm having a number of issues.

I've managed to create three backups - one is "Documents", a nonstop backup, the other is "MyBackup" which is a scheduled weekly backup of the "version chain" type and the third is an Acronis online backup.

The "Documents" backup completed its first backup, but any attempt to recover from this set results in an error "Access to the file or folder is denied". I can see the backup folder just fine in Windows Explorer, so the network credentials are OK.

After recovering from an application freeze, I've started the "MyBackup" backup. I've attempted to run the online backup and the nonstop backup, but they both appear to be stuck at "calculating..." and the former is queued. Is Acronis not able to perform two concurrent backups?

Finally, I've had several application freezes in the few hours I've had it installed. This can occur anywhere at any time, but most frequently when configuring a backup.

I'm looking at this 2013 version as a replacement to my client's copy of ATI Home 2011 which is causing significany performance issues with his system.

Thanks.

First thing to try is a repair install of 2013, just run the installer again and there will be a repair option.

Are you able to 'explore' the files and folders backup file and does validation work on it? I take it you were trying to recover the files and folders back to the same machine?

I think NSB is suspended during a disk or partition image session.

The OLB might be due to the Acronis server end, there might be network congestion.

I'm able to drill down into the nonstop backup via Windows Explorer, but ATI won't allow me to view any files in the "recovery" window. All I get is a blank window with the access denied error at the top and a spinning circle in the middle. I don't see a verification option for the nonstop backup.

The file and folder backup appears to be going OK. I'll let it run overnight.

I'll try a repair install.

Thanks for your help :)

There is no verification option for NSB.

You shouldn't be able to see the contents of the NSB folder anywhere but in the True Image Explorer, if you are able to see the timeline folder and it's contents and you don't have 'hidden files and folders' enabled for viewing something is very wrong or we aren't on the same wavelength! :)

What happens if you suspend the NSB task, can you then see the timeline in the recovery window?

I do have hidden files and folders showing so I'm able to navigate manually through the Time Explorer Storage via Windows Explorer.

Even when stopped, the NSB cannot be accessed from the Acronis application. It results in the "Access denied" error that I've attached a screenshot of.

Thanks.
