Verification failed when accessing a network shared folder in a Domain

Thread needs solution

When I use my 'rescue media cd' (burned from within ATI 2014) and try to acces a network folder (this used to be 'computers near me' in the older version), I get a verification error.

This is when I use the 2014 version, when I use the 2012 version cd and logon to the network share using the correct credentials --> it works.

But I don't use the 2012 cd cause it doesn't support the usb mouse and keyboard on my lenovo pc.

So my question is : why does the verification fail when using the correct credentials on a network share , while this works on the 2012 version.

Hello Marcelino,

thank you for your posting!

Can you please clarify, where your network folder is located?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Anna,

The network folder is a shared folder on another computer in our usual domain. (lets called the Domain : GROUPD)

For example : the folder is a share on a windows server 2003 PC (this on a second HD), the PC name would be like PC01 and the folder Backups.

So when logged on within the domain, I could do like //Backups within windows and acces the files.

It's kinda complex, I hope it sheds some light on the problem ...

Anna, I see you answered on the other tread .. so the problem that's it's a server machine.
Is the bootable 11.5 disk compatible with acronis TIH, and can I use it without a licence ?
