W7 and W8 dual boot images

Thread needs solution

Hello, I have a question. Goes like this;
I have W7x64 installed on a partition and I am planning on installing W8 Consumer Preview on another. Previously, I had installed W7 and W8 dev. preview likewise. The problem was, when I recovered W7 by true image, I had lost the MBR of W8 and so I was unable to dual boot those two, only W7. I want to create images of W7 and W8 and be able to dual boot them after a recovery by true image. Could somebody show me the steps? Thank you.

I think your best solution would be to create a full disk backup, selecting the entire disk rather than individual partitions. When you restore a full disk image, you will also restore the MBR.

Did you for sure _not_ check the MBR to recover? Does it help to recover MBR alone from W8 image?
