When Booting into Safe Mode get BSOD

Thread needs solution

I recently upgraded to 2012 Acronis True Image Home edition. Didn't have problems before with older versions of Acronis, but now just after my free support ran out by a few days with this 2012 ATIH version I am getting a BSOD "but only on boot up from Safe Mode." BSOD Error message listed Snman380.sys as the cause. I searched that file and it pointed directly back to Acronis! My computer boots fine when starting up normally (not Safe Mode) thank goodness. Only happens in Safe Mode. How was I to figure that out that BSOD problem happens with Safe Mode only, before the free 30 day tech support ran out eludes me and makes me very angry that I now have to pay to get technical support for bug in their program!!!

Anyway any suggestions for solutions would be much appreciated! Short of uninstalling the whole program and throwing it away, I tried to fix it myself thus far and to no avail. I didn't uninstall yet, thought that an uninstall of this unstable program may even cause the BSOD on regular boot up?? So I didn't even dare do that.

Probably unrelated to this particular issue, but this is actually the second major problem I have had with this new version that I have recently paid for and upgraded to just under 40 days ago! The other issue was whole different problem with my iPod, after several days and long hours of research, trial and error, I traced it down to Acronis again. When all Acronis processes and services were turned off, iPod was able to be recognized and was able to sync again. Go Figure! This program seems to be causing more problems than it is supposed to be fixing!

A little background info:
I have a Dell Inspiron 530 Core 2 Processor Q6600 w/Quad Core Tech and 8MB RAM running WinXP SP3 (32bit).

I defrag regularly.
Use JV16 to clean the registry
Clean Win Temp files and IE temp files regularly.
Also have Norton 360 installed

All other programs seem to be working fine at this time, so I highly doubt it is a hardware issue. These problems only started after 2012 Acronis upgrade install.

Thanks in advance for any solutions.

Thank you.

I think I may have come up with the solution myself. I deactivated Acronis Startup Recovery Manager under Tools and Utilities. (That is the feature that allows you to press F11 at normal bootup.) I had activated that feature when I first installed the program and looked at all the new features.

I just tried to boot up into Safe Mode one time after deactivating it and my computer booted up fine in Safe Mode. Must be a bug with Acronis Startup Recovery Manager and not pressing the F11 key, but trying to boot up in Safe Mode instead.

I think we can close this issue. If it happens again. I'll post again or something.
Thanks anyway.
