The manuals are linked in the Useful Links section on the left of the page: Home Products Guides

The latest build for the US English version of TI 11 is 8,101. If you have another language version, the build may be different, but should be fairly close.

It's usually recommended to uninstall the previous build before installing the new one. I would also recommend creating a backup image prior to upgrading.

Attempting to recover backed up system from external HD from CD boot. Get error "Unable to load initial RAM disk - Press Enter to proceed" Results in BLANK screen. Using Windows XP SP3. True Image 11.0 Home v 8.101.

Assuming the TI CD boots to the Acronis menu, have you tried the quiet acpi=off noapic option detailed in Section II of the Read Before You Post thread?

You may need to get the alternate loader version of TI from Acronis (via Live Chat or PM). Another option would be to try the trial version of TI 2010.

Are there updates for Acronis Image 11 Home Build 8053 , I can't find any for this build in the update section? or is it to old?

Thomas,
The updates stopped for version 11 when its replacement 2009 was released. 2009 was replaced by 2010 and now 2010 replaced by 2011.

There should be one later build available for TI 11. Build 8101 is the last one I show (8053 is the build just prior). Are you checking in your Acronis account?

I found it amazing that after 3 different upgrades to the Acronis True Image Home 11 (being the 2009, 2010 and 2011) there are still aficionados of this backup and restore software! Is it a sign that it was really good or is it that its successors did not meet the expectations of many people?
I can't tell. What I do know is this: I own licenses for all of them except the 2009 and I must candidly confess that ATI 11 is still my favorite.
My current OS is Windows 7 (64 bit) and I am currently using the 2011 version of ATI. At the time I was using ATI 11 my OS was Windows XP. Does anyone know of any compatibility issues between WIndows 7 and Acronis True Image 11?
The answer to my question is very important to me; in fact, if I learn that no issues exist, I will downgrade all the way back to that wonderful ATI 11.
Thanks for any insight on this matter.
Cheers

Some people have run TI 11 in Windows 7. However, there can be some serious problems with it and it is not recommended. TI 11 does not support Windows 7 and Acronis does not support TI 11 in Windows 7 -- there will be no updates to make it compatible.

If you want to try it (which may require tweaking because Windows 7 may block its installation), make sure to have a good backup image first so you can restore it if things go wrong (uninstalling/removing it can be very difficult). Also, keep in mind that it can break at any time (what works now may not work later).
