Why Won't Outlook PST backup? Is this a True Crypt problem? Mozy conflict?

Thread needs solution

I'm using True Image Home 2011 build 6942 on a Windows 7 Home Premium laptop. My Outlook pst file, like all the rest of my user data, resides inside a True Crypt file that mounts as drive F. I've sequenced onsite (Acronis) and offsite (Mozy) backups to complete without competing. When I run nightly Acronis backups of drive F, all data backs up normally as long as I remember to close Outlook. However, if I leave Outlook open, Acronis backs up everything correctly except the Outlook pst file.

This is the error message:

Failed to back up file or folder 'F"\Outlook Data/outlook.pst'.

An error occurred while reading a file. The backed up file in the backup may be corrupted and will not be recovered correctly.: None.

Very often Outlook files are or remain open. For ACronis to backup an open file, it uses the Microsoft VSS. VSS is not compatible with TrueCrypt and will never be supported by TrueCrypt (according to the TrueCrypt postings).
