Will Acronis Backup my Solid State Drive?

Thread needs solution

I have the latest version of Acronis True Image Home 2012 and I'm wondering if it has support for my SSD (Kingston SSDNow V+200). Also, if I were to backup and then restore it, will it keep my alignment at what I set it to (4096 sectors)?

You won't know about the Kingston until you try. If it sees the drive, backup should be no issue.

The 2012 version recognizes the SSD drives and the alignment should not be an issue if it already has the proper alignment.

Do I need to set any extra parameters like "back up sector-by-sector" and anything else like that, or do I just backup with the normal settings?

Normal settings. Sector-by-sector backup replicates all disk sectors, even those containing no data, so it would be much larger than a normal full disk backup.

... And would cause unneeded writes to the SSD which is something you don't want when using SSDs
