Will non premium version 2014 restore to new disc?
Just upgraded from 2013 to 2014. If my 240gb SSD collapsed and I replaced it with another 240gb (or larger) will I be able to restore my system without having the premium version? I assume the premium version is the new name for the Plus Pack addition? If it will, what do I do about MBR etc? I only make full disc images, so do I have to restore the reserved partition first and then the OS partition or can I do both at the same time?
Wish I had known about the $10 offer for another upgrade as I have two licences.
Windows 8 64bit

Thank you again Tuttle. To expand a little further on MBR and disc signatures, aren't both individual to any disc, wouldn't I be restoring erroneous information from the old disc and applying it to the new disc if I opted to restore both or do I have it all wrong?

You have it wrong. ;)
If you're restoring the entire disk image to a new disk, presumably you want to replace the old disk with the new disk, perhaps after a disaster. In order for the partition structure to replicate, you need the MBR restored. Since some software ties itself to the disk signature, you'd want to select the option to restore that.
I have restore full disk images to brand new bare metal unformatted disks, after the original drive failed. Those restores worked perfectly and my rescued friends/family think I'm a genius. Once they boot from the new drive, everything looks exactly as it did prior to the disaster.

Thank you Tuttle. May I be presumptuous enough to ask two more questions. What advantage, if any, of integrating True Image into Windows and how do I get rid of that damn sync icon in the SysTray and stop sync running for ever.

Managed to stop Sync and despatch the icon but still unsure about integration.

Within Windows Services, if you are not using the Sync Agent or the Non stop backup features, you can stop their services and disable them so they do not start on bootup.

Thank you GroverH. I do use Non Stop Backup but don't find it works very quickly, my outlook 2007 files can take hours before they are backed up, I mostly end up doing it manually.

Syncing Outlook files, in general, isn't something that is recommended. It can corrupt them, to the point ScanPST can't repair them. It can also take a while to sync if Outlook is still open and using it. Even disk to disk, or folder to folder, it's usually more of a pain to sync Outlook files automatically than to back them up every X hours.
Being in IT, we don't let Outlook files sync period with any user, ever.

Agreed. When I supported small offices with Outlook, I often saw problems when they tried to backup the PST when Outlook was open. It's far safer to have the PST backed up only when Outlook is closed.

Thank you both for your input. Are you both saying that I should not have NSB running whilst I have Outlook 2007 open in case it does backup quickly and I may end up with a corrupted .PST? It hasn't happened so far but maybe TI 2014 NSB is not as tardy as TI 2013.

I, personally, wouldn't. I have mine setup to backup nightly. If your email is important enough, you can setup incremental backups every X hours, which will work, as long as there isn't 2 pieces of software (Outlook and TI) fighting for constant access to PST files. A backup, even though Outlook would be running, would just copy the data that's there and stop.
