Windows 7 Reported not to be Genuine after Restore

Thread needs solution

My professional tech (who uses True Image too) replaced my hard drive with a solid state drive and did a restore (he said bit by bit copy) to my new drive. Internet Explorer and Windows 7 both act quirky. The main problem is that the System page in the Control Pannel reports that Windows is properly regestered and authenic. The Microsoft website and a persistent pop-up both report that Windows 7 Premium is "Not Genuine" and seems to have locked me out of a lot of features. Speed also seems to be an issue. None of the solutions for fixing the Windows problem on the tech pages of the Internet work acording to my tech. Any help out there?

This sounds like it could be a disk signature issue. Not sure how your tech did the restore but here is a link that may be of some help, share it with him.
