Windows XP Pro SP3 machine crashes whenever a backup is started
I have Acronis True Image Home 2012 installed on a client's computer, and I have it set up to back up weekly to an external drive on a networked computer. This drive is mapped as a drive letter.
Whenever Acronis runs a backup, the computer crashes and restarts. I used to have a problem with only scheduled backups crashing the computer, but I solved that by changing the file compression settings. Now the computer will crash regardless of the settings or whether it's a scheduled or manual backup. The other two computers on the network work just fine with the same setup.
I've attached a memory dump file that was created after a crash.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok. I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling and tried it with and without the updates installed, and it doesn't change anything.
Now, since two other computers on the same network and with the same setup can back up to the mapped drive, I would think this rules out any issues with the destination disk, destination computer, or the network in general (except possibly the source PC's connection to the network and destination computer). I'll try running a backup with the bootable disc and let you know what happens.
When you say change the data being backed up, do you mean like doing just a specific file/folder backup instead of a whole disk image or something?
I didn't notice that there was a 15MB limit on attachments, so the file in the first post is no good. Here's the memory dump file uploaded to my website:

James,
Given the information given, I'd guess there is a driver conflict between ACronis and some other installed software. Can you create a clean boot environment using msconfig (disable all non-Microsoft services except the Acronis services, disable all startup items execpt the ACronis ones), reboot and try again.
If the problem is still there, uninstall ATI, use the cleanup utility found here (follow *all* instructions very carefully, in particular do not let the utility restart your computer http://kb.acronis.com/content/24545
Reboot in the clean boot environment, reinstall ATI. If the problem subsist, the conflict is between ATI and Windows and this is much hard to diagnose. If it disappears, then you can enable half of the starup items, and see if the problem comes back. If it does, enable only a quarter of the startup items, etc. By proceeding through dichotomy you should be able to determine which service/software conflicts with ATI.
