Forum features request

Thread needs solution

Would it be possible to add the feature to select how the date and time is displayed? I much prefer MM-DD-YYYY over YYYY-MM-DD. I also prefer AM/PM instead of 24 hour time.

I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but every time I save a post or edit and save a post, the pages goes back to the top. This means I have to scroll back down to the bottom to check the post/changes. On Wilders, the page would remain at the post being edited. (I'm using IE8, if that makes a difference.)

When searching the KB, you can select which areas will be searched (Articles, Forum topic, etc.), but unless you check them one at a time, only some very small text denotes the source in the results. Perhaps there could be some small icons or light background shading added to indicate at a glance what the source is? This would make it much easier to tell which links go to "official" articles and which are forum topics when you do a default search.

It seems to depend on the browser. Safari goes to the bottom of the page after a post, but IE8 and Opera 9.64 go to the top. well on my XP system they do anyway.

As has already been suggested, an indicator that shows which topics and threads contain your own posts.

Might also be useful to change the left side HTML links so that the redirect opens in a new page/tab so that this forum is still available to the user.

I strongly second the request for an indication of which threads I have replied to. I use this mechanism to follow-up on any comments I've made and find the present situation to be counter-productive.

Hello all,

This feature request was added to our todo list.

Thank you for the feedback.

Hello all,

The search function was updated and from now you can sort the results - see only articles or forum topics, sort by date created, content type, title and more.

Thanks,

As I just replied in another thread - we don't have this feature currently, but we will definitely look into how we can add this.

Not something we have at hand currently, but definitely a thing to target. Seems like a per user setting/option to format all the dates/times across the site.
