Global Root Error

Thread needs solution

I am currently in the trial mode and have successfully back up one drive.  However when I added another drive I get the following error on several files "\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy19\filename."  Has anyone run across this and possibly have a solution?

Thanks!!!

Mark, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but more information is needed to understand the context for the error message being given?

What do you mean by 'added another drive'?  Was this an extra drive for the Source selection of the backup task, or changing to a different Destination drive?

Please download the MVP Log Viewer tool (link in my signature below) and use this to review the log file for your backup operation. This should provide more information on why you are seeing any notification messages?

When dealing with error messages, it is best if you can provide the full log showing the error in context, including any detailed diagnostic entries in the log.

If a specific file is named in the error message, then check your security software logs too as this can be caused because such as an antivirus program decided the file was malware and put it in quarantine, thus denying ATI access to back that file up.
