True Image 2013 won't load and won't reinstall

Thread needs solution

Got error message after today's backup. Then True Image would not open. Tried to reinstall/repair and got error message to close TI and retry. Retried a few times but no luck.

What was the error message?

Disconnect all external drives and reboot.

In addition to Tuttles advice, check in Task Manager and see if you have more than one instance of True Image running.

Acronis is running OK now, but every day I get the error message "Failed to open backup I:\0Back\My_partitions2_full_b46_s1_v1_v1.tib It may be corrupted or inconsistent," which gives the options: Retry, Knowledge Base, and Cancel. "Retry" just brings the error message back. This message appears after the backup has finished. When I open True Image, it shows that it's consolidating the backup, which takes forever.

Also, I limit the number of backups to 3. Today, for example, TI says I have 5. But there are only 3 on the disk, which may or may not be valid.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Long-time Acronis user frustrated again.

Sounds like the database has become confused. Delete the task, make a new one and point it to your existing full, or alternatively delete the complete archive (from within True Image) and start again.
