Failed to read the snapshot. (0x10C45A)

I get the following error info when attempting to complete a backup from an Intel SSD ("INTEL SSDSA2CW080G3 ATA Device" according to Device Manager in Windows 7) to an external USB hard drive.
Operation with partition '3-0' was terminated.
Details:
Read error (0x70003)

Failed to read the snapshot. (0x10C45A)

However, Windows Backup seems to work fine; I was at least able to complete a backup with it.
Tried disabling the "Volume Shadow Copy" service to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi shadowsports and thanks for responding.
I deleted all temp files with CCleaner, then ran chkdsk /r on the SSD I'm trying to back up and it came back clean. Also uninstalled Acronis, rebooted, then reinstalled Acronis and rebooted again, still getting the same error.
I think I'll try opening a case with support as you suggest unless anyone has any other advice.

Proceed with the support case but in the meantime boot from the Recovery CD and to a full disk option backups of the SSD from the CD. Be sure and include the validate option as part of the backup.

I have recently received this error after installing a new HDD. My disk has a system partition, a primary partition (C:) and a two logical partitions (F: and E:). The backup works perfectly for D and E but fails with these errors on C:
Operation with partition “2-0”; was terminated.

I have run CCLeaner, cleaned out the TEMP folder and done chkdsk C:/f The not "enough storage" is different. The partition is 150 GB and about 60% is used. The OS is Win7. The full drive is 1 TB.
Thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Rick, have you ever installed a RAM disk on your system? It turned out in my case that since I'd installed and subsequently removed a RAM drive on my system, Acronis kept complaining because it couldn't find that disk on my system any longer. To work around this, I just re-added the RAM disk and now backups complete successfully.

Thanks for getting back Alan. No RAM disk here. However, I think I have resolved the problem.
I re-ran CCLeaner a second time and in addition I used the Registry scanner as well. The Reg scanner "FIXED" issues and I tried a new backup of my C drive.
I successfully backed-up C: to a local HDD. Bitten by my new success I tried a back-up to my network drive. That too was successful so I think I'm back in business.
Thanks again for the prompt reply on this old thread.
