Outlook.pst erased after backup
First, sorry for my bad English...
Every week, my computer makes a backup programmed on Friday evening.
Every Monday, when I go back to work, my Outlook.pst has disapeared and I have to copy/paste it from the last backup. If I abort the backup, pst file stay, it's OK
I'm fed up with that...So if anybody can help me... Thank you
P.S : OS Windows XP and Office 2007

I've made backups of My Documents, which my .pst file just happens to sit in also, without any issues. Just out of curiosity, have you tried renaming the file when you run the backup? Perhaps just the file extension and see if it leaves it alone.

Hello,
I am familiar with the issue you are experiencing and will do everything possible from my side to provide you with the clear explanation.
Fastfouine and Marc,
I assume that you are using Acronis True Image Home 2009. The old builds (including #9646) of the program deleted the .pst files if the backup of the entire partition/hard drive failed or was interrupted. The issue has been fixed in the latest build of the program starting from the build #9709. You can check the build number navigating mouse cursor to upper line of the program then press ALT + left mouse button -> Help -> About.
That's why I suggest you to update the program to the latest build (# 9809), the issue should be resolved. You can learn more on how to download the latest build in this article.
Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawless for you.
Please let me know if the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question.
Thank you.

I've had the same problem (including also having my Picasa database deleted).
Yep - old build version. Given you had my email address I would have liked an email saying what a massive problem existed.
And now my Outlook file is deleted, is there any way of getting it back? I clearly can't rely on my backup!
