TI Only Starts Once
I just downloaded and installed v2010.6053.
I'm running it on a Windows 7 machine.
When I start it the first time, all is fine. But then when I exit, it leaves a TrueImage.exe process loaded, so that the next time I want to run it it won't start -- it loads another instance of the process, but won't start up the main program.
How do I fix this?

Chuck Billow

DnD:
When I first started up this morning, it ran and opened properly the first time. but when exited, it did not leave memory. SO then, when I tried to run it again, it wouldn't start up.
If I then go into Task Manager and end the process, it will then load -- once, but then, as before, the process doesn't unload.
I'm not positive, but as I recall I didn't have this issue with build 6027. I'm going to remove 6053 to verify.

DND:
I just tried turning off all my startup progs, except for my hardware drivers (Intellimouse, Intellipoint, and NVIDIA), and got the same result.

Is your Windows the 64 bit version?
I don't have this problem with TI, but Firefox 3.5.5 often exhibits the same behaviour.
I think it is down to the W7 debug reporting function works, even though the debug message doesn't appear.
I have no answer on how to solve the problem though.

bodgy, my Win_7 is 32-bit.
I'll just keep doing my backups with the CD for now I suppose.

Hi there. I experienced this exact same behaviour when I installed build 6053 over 5055 (using W7 x64). Opened fine the first time but never afterwards. What I did was completely uninstall ATI, including removing all left over directories, rebooted and did a fresh install which required entering the product key again (followed with the updated SnapAPI drivers). Since then it opens everytime with no problems. Worked for me so hopefully for you too.

Adrian, I thought I had done that as well...maybe not, so I'll try it again.
Thanks,

Adrian, I just retried -- I uninstalled and deleted all traces -- files, folders, and reg entries -- and then re-installed, but it still won't start more than once.

Ilya, I'm not at all sure what changed, except that since my last post I had a system problem and had to go back and re-install Win-7;
Now I don't seem to be experiencing any issue with TI.
I'll get right back as soon or if I do again.
Thanks,
Chuck
