Recent problem with Dell workstations, specifically, the Optiplex 790 series machines.

When Attempring to use the Snap Deploy 3 product (v. 3501) I received a Error code E000101F4 (unable to detect HDD) whenever attempting to make an image file or todeploy one. After repeated attempts to work issue by checking other machines and other versions of Acronis, verifying the issue wasn't an isolated one, we finally called support. They walked us through the same steps as we had done already and no fix was made.

In a moment of inspiration, I went into the BIOS and changed the SATA drive settings from "ATA" mode to "AHCI" mode which is the system default. We had previously set it to ATA mode to get Windows XP SP3 to load and work properly on this model workstation. Windows XP would not load or operate otherwise.

In order for Snap Deploy 3 to work, we had to make sure that the workstation was in its default setting prior to making a master image file or to receive an image file then switch it back to ATA mode in order to work normally thereafter. For those with Dell hardware, I can't say that this fix is universal, nor can I say that this could be the fix for non-Dell hardware, but I think it may be a place to look if this sort of error comes up again.

Current problem with Dell Latitude E6520 laptops...

When attempring to use the Snap Deploy 3 product (v. 3501), the NIC (Intel 82579LM Gigabit) is not recognized; therefore unable to connect to Snap Deploy server to create an image file or deploy one. We had this same problem with the Intel 82577LM Gigabit NIC prior to the release of build 3501. Hopefully, the next build will include this NIC, and will be forthcoming in short order.

Hello, I have the problem with ASD3 where it hangs at 'Processing, please wait' when PXE booting.

I have a Dell Vostro 270 with the 'Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller'

Do you have a custom build which would fix this problem please?

Regards

Hi I have a problem with Master Image Creator. When I try it with a Dell Optiplex 7010, it says the NIC is unplugged. Is there a newer version? Unfortunately, there is no version listed so I don't know what I have.

Acronis Snap Deploy 4 build 510 does not detect NIC on new Dell E6540. I cannot create an image nor deploy and image when I try to find the directory in the network it does not find it.

I have Acronis Snap Deploy 4 and I have deployed the PXE with no problem. I was able to create an image of the station I have but when I try to copy the image I get an error in the laptop that says "Failed to initialize a network connection. Please check that you have valid network connections." Does anybody know what this is? The model is a Dell Latitude 3340.

1. I have Acronis Snap Deploy 4 as well as Snap Deploy 3, I am doing a Stand Alone Installation. My Master Image File is stored on Network Shared Folder. Laptop which I need to deploy Image is DELL Lattitude E7240.

When i boot the laptop with Acronis Sanap Deploy bootable CD, I am not able to see Computers Near Me- not detecting NIC card for DELL E7240 so that i can select my master image from the shared folder.

Please help to resolve this issue. I tried all possible option with BIOS settings changing the CD ROM Drive.. etc

2. Also I was told by my friend that i can try creating a Win PE image with Acronis Snap Deploy 4.
I followed all the step available on http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ASD4/index.html#1353…
but when its time select option Creadt Windows PE 4.0 automatically- this option is greyded Out and not able to select it.

I more concern about have resloution for my 1 point.

Thank you,
Manoj

Hello Peter

the problem you faced is caused by lack of required for your network card detection drivers in Acronis Linux environment.

I've sent you a private message with a link to the custom Acronis Snap Deploy build 584 with additional drivers and further instructions in a PM.

Manoj, I've replied to your PM.

Thank you.
