ATI 2011 - Backup Settings Transfer / Import - Export Settings function does not work.

Thread needs solution

When I click the "Backup Settings" option neither IMPORT or EXPORT works. When I click either option nothing happens. I looks like the screen sort of "blinks" for a millisecond but no other menus come up.

Everything else on that screen works fine.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled ATIH and the problem persists,

This is a paid/licensed version of TI 2011

It is the current release (5519),

All that normally happens is that a windows dialogue box open asking you where to save the the settings (in zip format).

If the screen blinks then may be something is blocking it from from opening.

Which version of windows are you using Mike?

Exactly, I don't get the dialogue box, which is the problem. :)

Windows 7 64bit Ultimate w/8 gig ram, 240(2x120) GIG raid 0 SSD's. All other functions of ATIH work fine. I've uninstalled, reinstalled 3X using add/remove as well as using the Acronis uninstall utility.

Edit: I've tried Acronis chat support but that is an exercise in futility. :(

Have you raised a support ticket via the webform?

When you installed TI did you select for single user or all users and does your log on have Admin authority?

I just installed ATIH 2011 on my laptop and the dialogue box comes up fine (same O/S). Can't imagine what is different on my PC that would cause this.

Don't remember if I chose SINGLE user or ALL users but it was probably ALL USERS because that was the default.
Yes, I have admin privs for my logon. I've also tried "run as administrator" on the exe file.
I can't see either of these items having an effect on a popup dialogue box but I guess you can never tell.

EVERY other function (that I have tried) of Acronis works fine.
EVERY pop up menu/dialogue box of other programs works fine.

Yes, I sent in a support ticket after a chat where the support guy had me download an "updated scheduler." (Not sure what a scheduler dated 2004 if I remember correctly would have to do with a menu not popping up but I humored him and followed all his scripted advice).

I also have noticed that for some VERY strange reason, every time I reinstall Acronis it kills off my Toshiba Bluetooth driver and I have to reinstall it. Absolutely no idea why as there is absolutely no connection between the 2 that I can see, but it happens every time. This is not a big deal but just weird.

Mike, You should create or reopen the support ticket and report the Toshiba issue. This needs to be fixed. Thank you.
