Boot CD isn't booting with HP dv5 Notebook (Acronis TI Home 10)
Dear Acronis support & experienced user,
I was a very satisfyed user of Acronis TI Home 10 - until now.
I changed the hardware to a HP Pavilion dv5 (1160eg) and recognized, the Acronis boot medium don't finds the bootloader on this system, and so it's not booting.
Since I've learned Windows XP setup also don't works with this machine type I assume Acronis TI 10 boot CD isn't working for the same reason: The HDD Controler Driver is missing.
Trying to boot results in the message "Bootloader not found"
Tryed...
- with installed vista
- with installed Linux (ubuntu, with Grub2)
- without any OS and recreated MBR & Partition Table
- re-installed Vista (setup booted from DVD & Install worked)
nothing worked.
Running TI on the installed vista is no problem (I believe because Vista uses a propper driver). Only booting with the CD don't works.
I hope you can help me - would really like to go on using Acronis TI!
Best Regards & Greetings.
Jens
