Acronis Stops Working After Installing Graphics Driver
I recently purchased a Pavilion dv7 6165Sus laptop with Windows 7. I upgraded it with a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit. I install Acronis TI 2020 and it works properly. Then I install the PC drivers and Acronis constantly crashes. It freezes every time I use the Boot Media tool. Then I can't choose the backup location because it is greyed out when I choose a custom location.
Been dealing with this issue for about a month. I've tried so many options. Uninstall/Reinstall windows, SNAP file, chat support, installing drivers then Acronis, etc. My graphic driver, AMD Catalyst 3.0.829.0, is a necessity. Sometimes Acronis works with it installed, other times it doesn't.
Plus, when I can make a boot media, it doesn't upload on startup when I select F9. I'd appreciate any assistance.
Thank you

I don't care for Win10 bc it hijacks your computer. That's why I prefer Win 8.1 But I did upgrade to Win10 to see if that would correct my problems with Acronis. After the upgrade, I still experienced the same issues. So I uninstalled Win10 and now I'm back to Win8.1
I think it might have something to do with a missing update or KB file.

[SOLVED] I installed my graphics driver incorrectly. I had to follow all the step-by-step instructions listed on the manufacture's site. Ex. update graphic driver to latest version, disable firewall and windows defender temporarily, install Windows 7 sp1, etc. Once I completed all the steps, I rebooted and reinstalled Acronis. Works perfectly.
