ATI Message: "Failed to check last versions of the backup" on attempted recovery
When I try to recover my hard disk from my backup, I receive the message: "Failed to check last versions of the backup" and I am unable to affect a recovery. What do I need to do to solve this problem?

Hello Brooks.
As mentioned by Steve, that error appears when the backup chain is broken. Usually if you delete backups manually that will happen because that's not supported.
Feel free to update this thread with more details about the issue and the context.
Thanks in advance!

Acronis 2017 Build 8065
Windows 10 home 64 bit
Failed to check last versions of the backup\
Error Code 0x006400CC+0x006400E0+0x00640013+0x00AC0041+0x00AC0040+0x01AF0006+0x0004000B+0x0000FFF0+0x80070015
I have deleted files in the database, changed the destination and other things suggested. I am still stuck. I guess I can copy and past from the mounted tib image. That will be rather slow.
I am quite disappointed. I did my backup of the data drive on 12/03/2023 in prep for extending the c drive partition.
I deleted all data on the partition and set it to unallocated. Extended the c drive and when I go to recover my files it is impossible.

Hello! Manually deleting files isn't recommended. Doing so can break the backup chain and corrupt the data. Instead, it is advisable to delete the backups using the backup console. You can refer to the knowledge base article at https://kb.acronis.com/content/45806 and attempt to open the backup file in Windows Explorer to validate it manually. If the validation indicates corruption, it's expected that you won't be able to recover the chain.
Best regards.

My error: When deleting files in C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database you must be in safe mode or some files are in use and not deleted.
Now I know this trick I can delete from the Windows Explorer. Deleting from the backup console in 2017 is awkward at the least.
Thank you for your help.
