Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 -- need to manually uninstall
I am using Advanced Server trying to install a remote agent. The system BSODs on reboot (thanks for the heads up when I installed it... oh wait I didn't get any). I had to reinstall/repair a lot of other applications since I rarely reboot for fun.
When I tried to repair the installation on the Agent, it said there was some unsigned driver and then said the file was missing. It was a very very very strange file name (I will post it here later), but all in all, I chalk it up to a heavily damaged install but no way to easily roll back.
I say this because Universal Restore cannot install without B&R10 installed. Yet, I am able to reinstall Universal Restore without a hitch. Furthermore, when I try to reinstall B&R10, it already has my license server picked with no way to change it. It is the correct, however I usually only see this if a remnant of the original install is in there.
Obviously, this has installed properly before (I have a few snaps of it), obviously there are remnants of the old install, I've tried manually removing it but it appears to be more involved than the True Image uninstall thread that I read.
What's the manual process to doing so?

As promised, the missing file is
timntr_a64.sys
Now, depending on how I try to reinstall the system, it will either say "hey, where is the Acronis True Image install disk" which I find a bit funny since I am installing B&R10 OR I will BSOD during the installation process (joy!).
I suppose that filename means True Image Mounter for 64 bit systems. Seems dangerous for me to get my hands on it. Should I?
As a side note, I was able to "repair" the installs on 2 other Advanced Server installs I have. I have rebooted one, but not the other, yet they do have the new Snaps installed. I am too afraid to reboot the mail server yet. Again, I just want a document to fully remove the software from one of the servers so I can reinstall.
[edit]
The manual process in uninstalling is
http://kb.acronis.com/sites/default/files/content/2009/07/2975/win2003x…
However, I still run into issues with installing the agent. (timounter fails to install)
[edit]
I found this info from another Acronis support personnel.
Please install Acronis True Image to some computer temporarily, navigate to \WINDOWS\system32\drivers, find timntr.sys file, copy it to another folder, rename the copy to timntr_2k.sys and point your Windows Repair Installation wizard to this file.
Thank you.

This worked for me and the installation continued.

Manual removal link above not working can you repost?

Wow, I haven't logged into the forums in months, and the timing could not be better for you.
I apologize for the sloppy way I posted my message, you are right that the link is broken now, but if you continue reading through, you will see that the method did not work for me anyways.
Ultimately, the solution for me was to find another machine to install the product on, and copy the required file over to the other machine.

Oh, could you refer the link here? Is that an Acronis product or some 3rd party uninstaller software?
