Bootable Media - video error
Hello,
I purchased upgrade for use with my new workstation (Lenovo W530 - purchased on recommendation from a friend who purchased one with me). I have always used bootable media to make image of base system before installing anything on it. After which I then install Acronis, Office etc... Comes in handy when I need to revert back to clean image to give laptop to another person when I purchase newer unit.
In this case, when I try to boot from CD I get error :Failed to detect graphic output mode. This occurs during initial few seconds of CD booting. I don't even get the Acronis menu to continue. I tried changing bios settings as this laptop has integrated and discrete video, but no variation seems to work.
I had friend bring over his Lenovo W530 (purchase almost at same time). The only difference is that my model has the Color Sensor support and better screen. I tried booting his W530 with the media and it worked and started up fine. To confirm, I also tried my rescue CD from V 11 and same behavior.
Is there anything I can do ? I also sent an email to support, but thought I would post here as well.
Thanks.
