Failed backup on newly registered PC *Resolved*

Thread needs solution

I just replaced a failed hard drive in a Dell laptop at my work. I have Windows 7 up and running and am able to ping to the Management Server. I discovered my laptop from the Management Server. I was able to remotely install Agent Core and Agent for Windows.

However, when trying to run an initial backup, I immediately get an error:

Failed to execute the command.

I do not have a lot of experience with the Acronis Software. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Dan,

This error usually means that there is a pre/post command script configured in the backup plan that no longer exists on the disk. Please check the plan configuration for this. (http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.5/#…)

Thank you.

Hello Igor,

Thanks for your help. I was able to find the command scripts in the backup plan. After looking at my reformatted PC, I found the files were not located in the directory that Acronis was looking at. After relocating them, the backup seems to be working properly. Thanks again.
