Acronis 12.5 Update?

Thread needs solution

So as I read the forums (as much as i can in english), I see that I am not the only one having tons of issues with the new product. 

 

From false negatives notifications, to backups not running on schedule for multiple reasons, to random errors stating false facts. And god I hope this isnt an issue but restoring data or machines on bare metal. 

 

Your software is NOT cheap, I expect customer service and tech support to help with issues. Or at least some kind of understanding on your end. Let us know you know about the issues and fixes are being made. Give us a time line. I have customers I have to answer to. I have been using Acronis since version 10 and I do not want to switch or retrain my guys to use something else.

 

When do you plan on fixing/patching some or most of these errors all of us are having? A time table would be appreciated. 

 

Also having tech support answer my tickets instead of hiding would be nice so I dont have to post on the forums.

Almost every post is read by Acronis guys.If there is a problem description in the post we do the following:

  1. Find issue in our bug tracker. If issue is found and it is fixed -> notify in what update it is fixed
  2. If issue is not found, we ask our QA guys to reproduce it and register issue in the bug tracker.
  3. If there is a workaround we provide it to the customer
  4. If issue is too complex we suggest to create support ticket because it will be easier for customer and us to track such issue (forum is not a replacement for tech support)
  5. If customer complains about slow tech support service, we escalating the problem to support manager and help the support guys to understand the problem (usually it requires to send system information to us or even remote session)

Acronis Backup 12.5 Update 1 will be released on the next week or earlier depending on the weather on weekends.

We usually release updates each quarter. Hotfixes are released depending on the severity of the problems fixed in the hotfix.

JFYI, Update 1 was released this Saturday. Please let us know if you face any issues.
