Tape Autoloader Issue - Acronis 11

Thread needs solution

Hi guys,

We have just configured Acronis 11 and attached a Dell Powervault LTO5-SAS 124T tape unit to the Backup and Recovery server.

I am using Windows 2008 R2 64-bit edition

I have updated the Dell drivers and can see both the autoloader and the Quantum drive in Windows device manager.

I can also see the 2 devices in the Acronis Tape Management.

However, when I try to set up a vault on the backup device, I select the autoloader and no drives appear. I can set up the vault with just the drive, but it prompts me to load the tape manually - which should not happen with an autoloader.

In the Tape Management - It shows me I have 2 devices and 1 drive. I can browse the autoloader and tape slots and it even says it has drive 1. But when it comes to setting up as a vault it does not appear.

If anyone has any thoughts on how I can fix this it would be very much appreciated

Regards

R
