Acronis True Image 2018 - 9207 - ISO Boot mouse and keyboard issue [Solved]

Thread needs solution

I have an issue with mouse and keyboard when I restart my PC from Acronis ISO the components are not recognized. I have found a similar issue occurred with Acronis 2015 and solved with a new Build.

Thanks

Mike,

With the release of TI 2018 the product has made a move away from the traditional Linux based ISO media to a WinPE based media for the best driver support possible for modern hardware.

Instead of using the downloaded ISO from your account to create media you should use the Rescue Media Builder app found under the Tools tab on the left hand side of the GUI.  Click to select the Rescue Media Builder and once it opens choose the Simple method.  With an empty FAT32 formatted USB flash drive attached to your PC you will find that you can create media on that drive.  If you have a DVD/CD drive you can also use it to create media on.

Once created you will have the best hardware driver support available for your machine.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I will try your suggestion.

Thanks again

It is possibly a driver issue: if you are using a USB 3/3.1 port try using a USB 2 one instead (if your system has one). Many issues with USB 3.0/3.1 devices have been reported with the Linux recovery media.

Solved with normal procedure suggested by Enchantech.

Up to 2017 NG version I have not meet any problem. Probably something was changed with last version in the drivers for mouse and keyboard.

Thanks

I would rather use the Linux method as I have done in the past.

I find the Winpe slow. Will there be a fix for USB mouse and keyboard in Linux mode?

The new build solved the problem. I prefer the much faster ISO solution.

Thanks a lot and compliment for your prompt reaction.

Mike, please edit your initial topic title to mark this as [Solved], thank you for providing feedback that the new build 9660 has fixed this problem for you.
