Disk (Image) backup nor restoring incrementals
So I utilized Acronis to create a disk(image) backup of my laptops drive on 2/11/19. Since then there have been 5 incremental backups.
I had a hard drive crash. Obtained replacement drive formated the drive, utilized the Acronis Rescue Media and selected the image backup. When is completed successfully, I discovered that it only restored the disk to the 2/11/19 status and the incremental data was not restored.
I have tried to restore form the incrementals and I get and error message "Unable to lock the disk boot your computer from a linux-based bootable media, and then try again,
I have contacted support and have heard nothing back. I was nor impressed with support when I originally installed product and had to resolve the issues myself.
How to I restore the incremental data files?
I also have backups of the complete disk (not an Image) and of my document directory. But I would like to restore the complete system as updates new programs etc have been installed since 2/11/19.
Thanks
Bill

Thanks Steve. I reviewed the log file and dispite saying the recovery was successful, there was a number of errors including some bad sector info. Therefore I reformated the new drive again and started the process over. Looks like it included the incrementals this time.
Still has some error messages in the log file:
Disk has invalid BIOS number
Failed to detect GRUB activator
An invalid sector size
Running another chkdsk on drive right now.
Its possible when I selected the recovery file that I just selected the higher level backup description without going down and selecting the most recent incremental.
Still have some more recovery to do as the disk image incremental did not run prior to the drive failure, but I do have full drive copies and copies of my documents directory. Should be able to restore close to the point of failure.
Thanks again
