Backup versions after restore
I make full backups of my system drive, with a maximum of 3 saved. To date, there were already 3 full versions.
Had to restore my failed system with the last backup, which was successful.
Yesterday, after updating all lost data, I opened Acronis again and clicked on backup system drive. The operation failed, as it told me that the backup did not exist. In the help file it said somewhere that I could edit the backup, which I did.
This however, resulted in a new version, where the last of the old one was not deleted, of course. This I had to do manually afterwards.
How should I do this correctly, if this happens again?

Hi James,
thank you for the reply. It makes sense, but perhaps the database should recognise that several versions of backup already exist. I had actually taken the steps suggested by you, but left 2 of the older versions. At the next scheduled backup, will delete another old one..
Strange, I had marked the post with "Notify me when new comments are posted", but have not received any notification

You may find that some of the backup files will not be deleted automatically and have to be manually deleted if they are not tracked by the older restored database.
Sometimes the notifications take quite a while to come through. Be sure to check to see if they are being caught by any SPAM filters, etc.
